Tot valia en la petició que es va fer als especialistes en música d’EL PERIÓDICO, sempre que estigués fet amb sis cordes: ¿quins són els teus 20 moments favorits de guitarra? 'Favorits' és aquí la paraula clau, l’únic criteri. No es demanava que la llista cobrís més o menys totes les èpoques, ni que es tingués en compte la importància de certs guitarristes a l’obrir camins, ni cap d’aquestes coses que se solen demanar o donar per fetes quan s’aspira a establir un cànon (no és el cas). Simplement, les 20 cançons amb guitarres destacades que més t’agraden, es va demanar.

Aquest és el 'top 10' que han donat com a resultat les votacions. I després hi ha les llistes íntegres dels nou participants en el joc. Apuja el volum a l’11 i a disfrutar (o a indignar-te, que per a això són també les llistes).

Així mateix hem elaborat amb les votacions el 'top 10' dels grups i artistes titulars de les cançons que han tret més punts i el 'top 10' dels guitarristes les interpretacions dels quals han tret més punts.
